10 Apr

Me and Ryan on my Birthday at Glass House Tavern!

Some more of my favorite people helping me celebrate my Birthday:)

One of my favorite bartenders helping me ring in year 26!

Kristy and I at Vynl for another small Birthday celebration. I'm pretty luck to have so many great friends!

Julia, me, and Cocoa at the Cookie Exchange:)

The spread (which quickly expanded) at Greg's cookie exchange party! Nom nom nom!

Jerel joined me for my office Holiday party!

And this is my lovely coworker!

Allison's Holiday party. It was all sweets and wine. That's my kind of party!

Jen and Cocoa at Mattie's apartment for his Birthday shindig:)

Cocoa and the cat immediately formed a frenemyship that was priceless!

Birthday boy!

Kristy on her Birthday.....make a wish! Also, she made those cupcakes which were vegan and guess what? Delicious!

Me and my roomie at the Holiday party for my other job! And again there were sweets and wine. Maybe that's why I like Christmas so much;)

My favorite co-usher at the Holiday party:)

Playing Catch Up (pt. 1)

7 Apr

Sooo….. There are a lot of things that I meant to blog about, buuuuut I never did. Which can mean only one thing: Photo recap!!!

Here is photo documentation of some pretty cool things that happened over the last year (I know!).

Joh Laraquette is taller than me even when I'm wearing heels. Obviously we were destined to be best friends.

The hand that Dan the Rad shook. Obviously, I'm 12.

How to Succeed Tony's party! These are/were some of my loveliest of co-workers.

This pose is called "The Cocoa."

The blurry people.

Watch out....she's armed!

The Charlie Brown Dance was a very important part of our celebration.

I visited Santa, Spritz, and Spruce at Santa Land!

I'm still not sure this really happened. The fact that she's wearing those and let me photograph it are both miracles.

Cocoa decided that the cat bed was hers. But that was okay because Ofelia decided to sleep in the bed with me. She didn't let me photograph that.

Cocoa's Christmas gift. Spoiled girl.

I had some girl time at a Fondue restaurant. Nom nom!

I had breakfast with this pretty lady. Thank goodness! I'm forever in need of Laurie time. Too bad Chicago and NYC aren't closer.

Julia got a Puppeteer job. Like, when people ask her what she does for a living, she can just say "puppeteer," and not, "well, I'm a bar manager but..." Must be heaven. So we celebrated.

Dan the Rad and John Laraquette left How to Succeed:( I must say, Dan's curtain speech was amazing. I will try to find a video of it to post here. God love him for thanking the electricians/crew above everyone else!

Ridiculous stage door.

The merch people are the best. Case in point: Jen! She's awesome.

And my fellow ushers are pretty cool, too! Another Jen!

And this happened!!!

What’s that you say? You want more? No problem! I have more photos recapping last year to come so that I can then catch up on all my posts from this year. Yaaay!

Happy Weekend!

Uploading to Update

7 Mar

Guess whaaaaat? I just uploaded oh so many photos to WordPress so that I can catch up on all the back logged posts I have been meaning to write but haven’t because I didn’t want to upload the photos.

No more excuses! huzzah!

And in the meantime here’s a semi recent self portrait from a day I was especially fond of my outfit. It’s also a bit of an ode to Fashion Fridays. Remember those? So brief. Maybe I’ll bring them back.

H&M sweater and tights, Forever 21 belt, Flea Marketed but actually Brooks Brothers skirt, Alloy boots

Have a lovely day, and keep an eye out for some long overdue updates:)

Non-resolutions

11 Feb

Non-resolutions. You know, things that I’m planning to change this year but don’t call resolutions because that seems jinxy and then there’s all that pressure to actually change your entire life on January 1st.

One of my non-resolutions was going to be me attempting a vegan diet for a month. But then I got the stomach virus and my new goal became to eat food. Period. After that I was pretty convinced that I could and would live off of Gatorade for the rest of my life.

I may still attempt it at some point but I already keep vegan friendly food in my house, keep meat to a minimum (hoping to be full-fledged vegetarian soon), and only really eat dairy when I’m out and about. So, hey progress!

And I don’t know, I’m sure there were other non-resolutions. Be more creative. Audition more. Practice guitar. Manage my money (I am actively pursuing this one.) But the beauty of non-resolutions is that I can make them anytime I want. Which is why you’re getting this post in February. Well, that and my “I’ll write that blog post later” attitude.

But notice, it’s only been a few days since my last post. I’m really trying to write on here more. More progress! Yay!

Did you make any New Years resolutions or non-resolutions?

Happy Saturday!

Some random thoughts for your Tuesday

4 Oct

I just don’t know what to write here. I think I have blogging writers block. Is that a thing?

It is now I guess.

Also, has anyone else noticed the downward spiral of customer service? Baristas who just stare at you, cashiers who tell you their register is closed after you’ve waited in line for 10 minutes. Well, I smiled at that barista and I marched up to that cashier and I got my customer service. But I shouldn’t have to work for it. You should just be nice to me. That’s your job.

So we’ve had cable a little over a month at my apartment (first time I’ve had cable in 2 years) and I am obsessed. If DVRs were people, I would buy them really nice Christmas gifts.

What am I DVRing you ask? Well, Glee, Pan Am, 2 Broke Girls, New Girl. I gave Playboy Club a shot, too but it really didn’t work out for me. Apparently it didn’t work out for anyone else either.

I am really obsessed with Instagram.

Ofelia (my “god daughter.” She’s a cat.) is very sweet and cuddly. If you knew her, you would know how amazing this is.

And I think that if acting doesn’t work out for me I would be really content being a stay-at-home dog mom. My Cocoa puff is the cutest.

Also, why did they remake Footloose? Unnecessary.

Ok, that concludes this episode of “Elizabeth doesn’t know what to write so she’s going to ramble for a while.” Hope you enjoyed.

Kisses & Quotes

28 Mar

There is a moment when you say to yourself  ”Oh, there you are. I’ve been looking for you forever.”

This is what Blaine said to Kurt on a recent episode of Glee. Yes, that ever so controversial (apparently?) episode where they kissed. I thought it was sweet. Anyway, it is one of my new favorite quotes. Feel free to watch it in context here.

Enjoy!

Hello friends,

It has been a very long time since I have updated. That is because WordPress stopped loading correctly on my computer. turns out my computer had a few issues and I ended up getting a new one. So, expect many blog posts in the next few days. First, I have to figure out how to get all the photos and documents from my old computer onto this new computer.

Please cooperate with me, external hard drive. Thanks!
