Hi everyone! So, I’ve decided to try something new. I’m attempting to simplify my internet life – delete accounts I don’t use, consolidate where I can, unsubscribe from e-mails, etc. It might sound silly, but I just don’t want to get bogged down by the internet. I like having it as a place for creativity and I’m most creative when I’m not bogged down by logistics.
So, what does this mean? I’m switching blogging platforms to Tumblr! I’ve been using tumblr for a while as a supplement to this blog (although I haven’t advertised that) and I think I would like to post there exclusively for a while and see how that goes. If I don’t like it I can always come back here. Tumblr is very easy to use and I’m hoping it’s format will encourage me to post more frequently.
I did a little makeover on it last week and I really like the freedom I have to edit the design and make it my own! Something this account only allows minimally (although I’m fairly happy with the current design) and I tried wordpress.org but that is nooooot my jam. All those files that it put on my computer? Greek to me:p
As of right now I don’t have any big exciting post waiting for you on my Tumblr account (well, the last thing I posted there was pretty epic, but…oh, you’ll see;). I hope to write one in the next few days and as always whenever I write a blog post from scratch (i.e. not when I reblog because on Tumblr you can do that) I’ll be sure to post it on my Twitter and Facebook.
So follow me: http://tallgirllittledogbigcity.tumblr.com
Also, who knows how to merge a WordPress.com blog with a Tumblr? Anyone? Bueller?
Guess whaaaaat? I just uploaded oh so many photos to WordPress so that I can catch up on all the back logged posts I have been meaning to write but haven’t because I didn’t want to upload the photos.
No more excuses! huzzah!
And in the meantime here’s a semi recent self portrait from a day I was especially fond of my outfit. It’s also a bit of an ode to Fashion Fridays. Remember those? So brief. Maybe I’ll bring them back.

Have a lovely day, and keep an eye out for some long overdue updates:)

It has been a very long time since I have updated. That is because WordPress stopped loading correctly on my computer. turns out my computer had a few issues and I ended up getting a new one. So, expect many blog posts in the next few days. First, I have to figure out how to get all the photos and documents from my old computer onto this new computer.
Please cooperate with me, external hard drive. Thanks!
Love to you. Blog soon!
WordPress and my computer still are not getting along. I was hoping to post some photos but that will have to wait until my computer and WordPress kiss and make up.
I have been in touch with support and they are trying to help me but my guess is the person who has been e-mailing with me doesn’t work weekends and I won’t hear back until Monday:(
So, here we are with no photos and although I could catch you up on my life in great detail without photos, I think it is so much more fun to have illustrations so I will just leave you with a few current obsessions of mine:)
Up-do’s (this summer has been brutal, up is the only way to wear long hair right now)
Silly Bandz (you can judge me for this. They are just so nostalgic, how can I resist?)
Creamy, cold coffee drinks
Blogs (reading and writing)
Writing for pleasure (like in a notebook or journal, developing ideas, not blogging for all to see)
Frozen Yogurt (Red Mango-which is all natural and relatively healthy on the fro-yo front – just opened by my apartment and it’s hot. Who can blame me?)
Dresses and skirts
Cocoa my dog (She’s just the cutest. I’m always obsessed with her:))
